Sending a file over a P2P network

How can I do set up to send a file to my peer, let me tell you what I've got so far.

1. Both computers set up on the same router
2. IP address in the same Network (getting ip add. from router)
3. all the right network sevices and protocals installed
-file shareing & TCP/IP

In networks places I see the other computer but everytime I try to drag and drop the file to send to it the other, my computer tells me 'acces denied'.

You likely need to configure drive/directory sharing.

Sitting at the local system, right click on the drive or directory of your choice in Windows Explorer, left click "Sharing and Security," then follow the prompts/fields for configuring shared access. Once configuration, your other networked system(s) should now have access assuming they are allowed according to the security rights you set for shared access.
