Help me please!! I can't find the right drivers ANYWHERE!!

Hey!

I have a HP Compaq TC1100, it came with windows XP installed, but it has missing drivers!
I have looked all over the net, I have downloaded almost every driver for the TC1100 from HP and have googled everything to do with drivers for TC1100 until my eyes burned but still haven't found what I am looking for! It has been over a month of looking and I am ready to give up!

The guy who sold it to me said this...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HP Tablet TC1100. It says 1000mhz which I presume is 1 ghz?
This has just been reimaged with HP XP Tablet Edition 2005.
Tablet is in good condition
Comes with a pen and is in a neat satchel.
Comes with HP disk only.
No other software loaded.
No cd-rom /dvd rom - I used my external dvd burner to reimage tablet.
In device manager the following devices needs drivers.
Base Device
Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
Network Controller
They were all ok before reimage and thought HP disk would have them on but was annoyed when it didn't.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I found what he was talking about, in the tablets 'System Information', in 'Components', 'Problem Devices', It says it is missing the Base System Device, the Network Controller and the Multimedia Audio Controller!

It was also missing the Ethernet Controller but that was the one and only driver from HP that actually worked!

I also get a pop up sometimes that says the Bluetooth Driver is preventing the computer from going into standby and if the problem continues I should update the driver! I tried downloading all the bluetooth driver for the TC1100 from HP but none of them helped!

It has XP Professional background on it which is odd because he said it has XP Tablet edition on it not XP Professional! But who knows, it's probably just a background!

I'm not the most computer savvy person in the southern hemisphere but until now I have been able to fix every problem that has come my way!! So you can understand how many hours and how much energy I have already put into this problem!!

SO if ANYONE out there can help in ANY way, it would be greatly appreciated!

If you need any more info just ask!

Thank you!

Thank you!!

Thank you!!!

Welcome to TechIMO,
Here's the link for Compaq website:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=1059
Everything you need should be on that page. I'm almost certain that once you re-install the audio drivers, everything else maybe found by Windows. If you have any problems please post reply on this thread.

Thank you!!!!

Yay, thank you!

I have downloaded so many drivers from that site, but I was downloading them in the international english and the link you gave me was in american english (), so I downloaded them all again and now, I am on the wireless net on my tablet, yay!! I still need the other two drivers but at least I have to net working now!!!!

Thank you so much!

Now I just need sound on this thing, and whatever the base device is, (i have no idea if it's important or not) But for now, I'm happy!!

The first thing I'm going to do now is download a better browser than Internet Explorer and get a good firewall and virus protection installed! from somewhere!! (I'll google it)

Thanks again!!

And happy 2008 everybody!!!

Keziah, out!

Sound Driver for TC1100

You should use the VERSION: 5.12.01.3920 driver for the sound to work. This is a Sound MAX driver (an older version then listed in HP website). Just google it, you'll find it. Good luck.

tc1100 drivers

I am having the same problem. I went to the hp site and downloaded the drivers onto a cd. I cannot seem to get the drivers for the base system device and the Mutimedia Audio controller.
I went to my network connections and there are no network connection. Itried to set up a network connection and it finishes, but does not show any connections.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
