Help! AOL/McAfee schedule anti virus scans

I recently installed the free AOL McAfee anti virus software on my PC (running Windows XP).
It's working fine, but there's one thing that's bugging me, and there's absolutely no help with this from AOL, because it's a free download, and I'm not an AOL subscriber.

I keep trying to schedule the anti virus scans. It's supposed to offer "On Demand & Scheduled Scans", and yet no matter how many time I enter in my desired scan days/ times, it never works. The "Scan Schedule tab", the day and time of the scan is selected, but I only get the option to clik "okay" at the end, the "Apply" button is greyed out.

I think not having that "Apply" button is the problem. Any idea on how I can get an anti virus scan scheduled?

You will be better off reading this than to try and get McAfee to work.

You probably have to upgrade ( pay ) to get all the options you want.
