Windows XP issue with Ram

Computer Specs:

A7n8x deluxe motherboard
3200 athlon XP Processor
2 gigs pc3200 ram
Radeon 9550
400 watt powersupply

I recently purchased 3 8 1gb PNY Optima memory to max out my mobo. When I install all three chips the Bios reads them, windows begins to boot, but after the XP splash screen nothing happens...I have tried each chip by itself and thus know none of them are bad. I rebooted with the 3 chips still in and was able to start windows in safe mode with no trouble. When I right click my computer it read all 3 gigs, but when I shut down and restarted to run windows normally, it just goes to a black screen after the windows xp splash screen.

Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do so that I can run all 3 gigs of ram?

Microsoft Memory Diagnostic Tool

Memtest

Memtest86+

Try using these Utilities to make sure there are no errors with your RAM.

alright I ran Memtest86+ and no errors where found. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I don't understand why the bios recognizes all three gigs, windows safe mode recognizes all three gigs, but regular windows just stops loading after the windows xp splash screen....

bump...do you think formatting the hard drive and then reinstalling XP with all three chips in would solve this problem?
