Internet explorer shutting down

Good morning Ladies and gentlemen, I would appreciate your help once again. The problem is; when I close a page which I am viewing,using the little red cross. I get a page entitled 'Blank page'. Then I get a message that Internet Explore has encountered a problem and needs to close, and I get the option whether to send an error report or not. Many times I have chosen the option 'send report' but the problem persists. The problem also happens after using the back button to return to my browser and then close using the little red cross. I am using IE7. Your help as always will be very much appreciated....nellie43

Sorry, one other thing I should have mentioned is, when I attempt to download sometimes (like this morning in attempting to download Belarc Advisor from a Safe Site) I got the same Blank page and IE shut down. This has happened on numerous occasions. The problem has started to happen over the last two-three days...nellie43

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, problem on above is now solved. I just changed my Home page from msn.com and I no longer have a problem. As I have said before (to the point of becoming repeticious and boring) I am new to 'Computering' and I couldn't even begin to explain why this solved my problem Regards .....nellie43
