Acronis True Image

Is it possible to restore an image (.tib file) from Local Disk D: if Win XP is on the C: and use the Acronis 8.0 program installed on C:
I can boot with Acronis using my Acronis rescue disk, however when I click on restore my backup, the Wizard opens, then I click Next and I get an error message "E000101F4 Acronis True Image has not found any hard disk drives".

Is there any way to restore my .tib files.

Thank you

It can be restored from D: but you cannot if you have booted up the c: drive. You have to boot from the restore cd/floppy only and not use C: or any portion of it. All the files you need are stored on the backup/restore image. You will need to use Xp restore if you are booted to C:

Normal backup restore location is a different hard drive.

Which version are you using: Disk director, Migrate easy, Enterprise . . . . ?

Acronis

I'm still working on it. I can boot my laptop with Acronis bootable recue disk, however when I click on restore my backup, the Wizard opens, i click Next and I get an error message "E000101F4 Acronis True Image has not found any hard disk drives".
Is there any way to recover my Acronis backup. I used Acronis True Image 8.0 to make my back up, and tried with version 11 also, but same result.

Thanks
