BSOD At Windows Loading Screen - Tech Support Forums

I just installed my new graphics card 9600GT and when it gets to the windows loading screen.. it goes to a bsod for a quick second then the computer restarts. I've been told that I need to update my BIOS for my motherboard. ASUS A8R32-MVPDeluxe. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sure it's not the video because it can go to safe mode and everything.

What power supply do you have?

Did you plug in the 6 pin connector to the video card?

550 watt and yes i did plug the 6pin connector. The guy from BFG says it could be my motherboard being out of date, but idk

It's entirely possible a newer BIOS could help. I saw an older one that fixes a PCIe bus speed problem. You can get the newest BIOS here: A8R32-MVP Deluxe - BIOS.

i dled it and renamed it A8R32-MVP.ROM but it doesnt boot when the computre starts

do you have any idea what im supposed to rename it to, or how to get the cd to load? can i install the bios when im in safe mode?
