Working with two ms outlook pst files

I want to switch between two pst files in ms oulook

One pst file is current i.e. I am emailing in/out, updating calender etc..

The other pst file is historical. I do not want to change anything in it only open/close historical emails.

I can do the task manually i.e. I locate the current pst on the harddrive file structure and swap it for the historical pst file. When I finish with the histoorical pst I swap back to the current pst. However this is a slow method.

Does anybody know how to do this.

    windows xp sp 2
    outlook 2003

While in your main pst - create a new folder....Import the Historical pst into it...

    Thanks for your reply.

I've looked at the import facility and take it up to "File to Import" dialog box.

At this point it does not identify which folder the historical pst is going into. Instead it gives me three radio buttons "Replace duplicates with imported", "Allow duplicates to be created" and another

I am a bit cautious that it will intersperse the emails between current and historical pst.

The current pst is a home pst and the historical pst is a work pst. The dates over which the psts operated will overlap.

If I select "Allow duplicates to be created" will it give me an option where to import the contents of the historical pst before it imports the historical pst. I do not want the emails interspersed.

I think I have solved the problem.

I used File -> Data File Management -> Add in order to add a pst file.

Although at the moment I can't see the calender.
