Ive got a compaq dl380 server. It will start running post and get by the ram. It then comes up with a post error "critical fan error, power supply fan not found, will reboot in 5 seconds". It will do this and then reboot in about 5,6 second. I have replaced mb. I tried using the cpu fan. I also replaced the power supply with a possibly good ps. Im not 100 sure the other power supply is good. The FAN is running like it should but the post doesnt detect it. I have ordered a fan, but not sure thats it since the one in there is running as ususal. Any thoughts on this. This is very frustrating.
Thank you. Oh yeah, the beep code is 2 short, 2 long, 2 short. the error code is 1611. I have looked all over google and lycos, ask, webcrawler
