last night we had a power outage in our area. there was a "pop"when the lights flashed on and off about three times. My computer is on a UPS battery backup system, so it stayed on. I turned it off in the normal shutdown manner. When the power came back on, there was no power on the circuit where the computer is located - no lights on the desk, etc. I found that the breaker for that circuit had popped. When I reset the breaker, everything else came back on, but the CPU will not start up. I am getting some power from the power supply since it charged my cell phone through the USB port.
Can anyone give me some ideas about how to troubleshoot this problem? I'm not sure whether it is the case switch or the motherboard or what - since it was working when I shut it down and the UPS apparently did its job.
