| Program that checks PC spec
A few years ago there used to be this free program that would tell you your PC's full specification.
If I remember correctly, the maker got bought out and so it was no longer freeware but you could still download it for free from majorgeeks.com.
Does anyone know what I mean? I can't remember the name. |

I like to use PC Wizard. It does the same things as Everest but is fully supported and updated regularly.

There are quite a few fantastic ones. Downloads from Belarc, Systemhound, and Spiceworks all make great solutions for this.
Although I did stumble on a web-based app that does amazingly well too. Check out Express PC Audit & Inventory Tool. A little bummed that it only works in IE, but Express Metrix is a pretty reputable company and their software always seems to do a great job. On the plus side though, you don't have to download and install anything to get your PC specs. |
