pxe-e61 media check failure,Check Cable

I have a Dell Inspiron B120 laptop and when I power it on I receive a
messagexe-e61 media check failure,Check Cable and then it comes up to an "ntoskernal" missing message. I installed the hard drive into another Inspiron laptop and it boots up fine to the login screen. I tried to reset the BIOS to factory defaults as was suggested on several blogs, but the symptoms haven't changed. I am thinking the mother bd. is bad. Any other suggestions? Thanks

possible the disk controller went out on you.
Have you tried using the CMOS functions to "auto-discover" your drives?
