Well, from what I can see, it is that easy: Quote:
Reset your password
You can't recover a forgotten password. To use your Windows Live Hotmail account after forgetting your Windows Live ID (The user name and password that you use to sign in to any Windows Live, MSN, or Office Live sites and services. If you have a Passport Network, Hotmail, or Messenger account, you can use it as your Windows Live ID.) password, you must reset the password.
1. On the Windows Live Hotmail website, click Forgot your password?
2. Type your e-mail address and the characters from the picture, and then click Continue.
3. Select one of the following methods:
Request password reset instructions in an e-mail message
1. Click Send password reset instructions to me in e-mail.
2. Click Continue.
3. Click OK.
4. Open your alternate e-mail account, and then follow the instructions in the e-mail message from Windows Live ID.
