i am using an ethernet crossover cable to connect PS2 to the laptop however it wasnt working, are there any major signs on whether or not the cable has damage to it? And will this also work for laptop to Xbox connection? |

Yes. It should work with both.
Be sure that you selected sharing for the wifi connection and that you allowed ICS in your firewall settings.
Frankly, you should get your own broadband connection and stop leeching your neighbor's.

if you are using a router you dont need to enable ICS. if you want to make your PS2 wireless, you need an adaptor for your PS2. i have the same problem before and i just follow the instruction that i found in the net that make my connection working. maybe you can check this out http://www.supportrix.com/SUPPORTRIX...4d50973d77669e |

Of course, that would make two devices you are using to steal someone else's internet. |

they're saying that because you never mentioned that to begin with, just that the wireless conenction was not in your apartment. when bill asked if the internet was in YOUR apt, or your neighbors, you mentioned you don't have access to the main computer or whatever...
so they automatically assumed you were leeching off the neighbors internet... |

But I think it will be much easier though if you will use a router instead. If you want your PS2 to to connect to the internet wirelessly you can get a wireless router and if not a wired router will be okay. Its the router that will share the internet on your computer and PS2, once the router is configured properly for internet connection. |
