Windows SBS 2003 (Network Access) Activation Issue.

    Hi All,

I'm setting up a Windows SBS 2003 for a client. I've just encountered an issue I've never not been able to fix before; yet now I find myself not able to fix it (sufficiently confused? excellent! :P).

Actually for some strange reason it keeps telling me that it can't find a network connection and therefore can't "Activate" the copy of Windows.

I've verified the fact that I have network connectivity and can freely surf the web. I have also disabled Internet Explorer Security (and even temporarily disabled the firewall) to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas as to why it's giving me such a hassle?

    Thanks in advance.

    Server Specs:

    HP Proliant ML350 (G5)
    Quad Core Xeon
    9GB DDR2
I reserve the right to contradict myself. . .

    Just a couple questions.

What is your network connection type? cable, DSL, ATM? Static or Dynamic? Can you ping any sites outside of your network? Have your tried adjusting the MTU setting from the default 1500 down to a lower set of values?
