Can't connect to internet with laptop...I am clueless!

Ok, got an HP 530 laptop and can't for the life of me can't get connected to the internet.

I have DSL..router situation. I can get to where I see networks and try to connect to an unsecure network, which I was able to do with my last laptop.


If anyone can give me some suggestions or ideas I would really appreciate it very much.

Re-install your ethernet driver. Hit the HP site for the most updated driver.

How is he going to get a new driver with no connection? Please think before posting.

You need to run the various connection wizards in All Programs > Accessories > Communications. Try the "New Connection" wizard first.
