Question
Asus S/PDIF module compatability with other Asus motherboards

Hello,
Does anyone know if an Asus S/PDIF module can be used on any Asus motherboard? I have a contact that has one for sale, but I need some input before buying one. The ad states that the module was pulled from an Asus P4B533 Socket 478 Motherboard. I have the Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. It has support for S/PDIF but a module was not included when I purchased the motherboard. My manual is not much help and the Asus site is not the easiest to use. Way to slow and confusing and will not answer questions one may have. I have heard of Plug issues, so I check the plug on the board. it matched the plug in the ad. The P4B533 takes a pentium 4 chip and my motherboard takes AMD AthlonXP3200. I am not sure if this would matter either. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Should work. Asus module pinouts are pretty consistent.
