No power after bios flash,Presario2190us

Can any one tell me what to do about a no-power no-boot problem after flashing the bios on my compaq presario 2190us .
I've flashed to an updated bios from compaq/hp company site and the system turned off, and will not respond to any thing i do.
I've tried to unplug the a/c cord and batt..
both have power, and tried to reset button to no avail.
Downloaded the service manual and made a jumpper block to reset the bios-
still no go, Any suggestions?

So you tried unplugging the bios battery? Keep it out for a long time, minimum 10 minutes. I'd unplug everything extra from the back and see if it comes on. Sometimes the bios doesn't like to come up with devices it doesn't recognize. It could have happened with the bios update.
