Small window needs enlarging

I am using XP pro on my laptop. Whenever I open up a window,it opens up small,a leftover thing when I was dragging files around from one folder to the next on my mp3 player. Now every time I open a new page ,it always comes up small. Then I have to maximize it.

Is there any way to make windows open up into a full page? or am I stuck with a small window coming up forever??

Windows always save the last state of the window size. make sure you set the size you like before you close it. then it will open the way you want.
