Help with wierd Vista Antivirus Virus "I think"

back to the original topic, smitfruadfix is the only thing I've run across that has been able to fix some of this new crop of rogue/fake spyware

HijackThis can be compared to bomb removal. It removes the fuse, but leaves the bomb.

Spybot did a grand job for me by removing "Ultra Antivirus 2008" from a client's PC.

False Virus Alert

Hi to All,
I go with BipolarBill on this one. It really is a highjack program (if you can call it a program). It takes over everything including your Internet connection. I got it a couple of times and searched everywhere for it but all in vain. Tried Safe Booting and running Antispyware and CC Cleaner. It was still there. It can also clear out your "System Restore Folder". Luckily I remembered when it first turned up and was able to find a restore point prior to its arrival and was able to restore to an earlier time.
