No Text Message Sound

Hi Guys,

I have searched all over the internet for a solution to this problem, but the question has only ever been asked, never answered, so I hope to finalize it once and for all.

When I receive a text message, my i-mate JAMin running Windows Mobile 5 will not vibrate OR play any sound. The on-screen alerts and message preview will appear, but no sound or vibration. I have all these options turned on in the sounds section under settings. On the new text message settings, there is an option to preview the desired text message alert by using the play button. When I click this, still no sound or vibration occurs. It seems that some settings in the phone have been overwritten and it's lost the ability to play a sound or vibrate when a text message is received.

Note, the phone rings and vibrates, and performs all other functions without an issue, only the text message causes this problem.

I got so sick of this issue that I completely wiped my device and reinstalled Windows Mobile 5. As it should, on a clean install, the phone plays a sound and vibrates when a text message is received. I proceeded to install all my previous software and then when I was finished, the phone no longer played a sound or vibrated when I received a message. The only software I installed was Google Maps, TomTom Navigator 6, and PhonTuner. Thus it appears that one of these programs has scrambled the operating system's ability to play sound or vibrate when a text message is received.

Is there any registry script that I can run that will restore all the default sounds settings in the hope that this will restore the phone's ability to vibrate and ring when a text message is received?

Thank you in advance for all your help!
