| select a propper boot device-error
HI! I'm trying to install windows xp pro on a fresh hard drive on a customer's computer (pc).
I checked that the hard drive and cd drive are recognized by the bios
and I also made sure the boot priority was correct (cd-1st\hard drive-2nd).
I boot the computer and get a "select a propper boot device or insert boot media into the selected boot device" message.
I tried another cd drive, I tried fixing the jumppers on the cd from master to slave and back please if anyone knows what I should do !!? |

Perhaps you have to press a key to force the CD to boot? |

The XP CD is in the CDROM when you're booting correct?

SATA drive? You should have mentioned that here. Did you need to make a SATA driver/boot floppy from the windows install routine? |

but in this computer's bios, i dont have that option
just sata-raid-disable.
how do i create a floppy with the scsi drivers if i don't have the mother board cd? |
