I've been trying to record sounds straight off of my laptop (windows vista) without having to use the mic. I know that I need to use either stereo mix or wave out to do this. I had seen it after selecting the "show disabled devices" tab under recording devices. Apparently my line in wasn't working so I thought I'd experiment by downloading some type of Realtek Driver, but ever since i had downloaded it, I have been missing the stereo mix option for recording devices. It has completely dissapeared. And I have also just recently discovered that my computer won't read when headphones are plugged into it- it continues to play sounds straight from the speakers. To make matters worse- the realtek download is no where to be seen, and it isn't under my uninstall list so I have no idea how to get rid of it. Any help would be much appreciated!
