Monitor stays on.
Even if I set my monitor to turn off after 15 minutes, very often it stays on. I tried to re-install the setup disk from HP, no change.
My o/s in Win XP Pro.

There may be a program running in the background that's preventing the video from signaling the monitor to go to sleep. It could be anything.
Have you tried different Power Options? It's in Control Panel.
