Thanks again to everyone for your expertise. It won't go unnoticed. I will also post the results of the outcome upon notice. |

Ughhh... hold on ... The first thing that needs to be established is what the current PSU IS...
And he should be able to tell us at least the basic specs, or at least post a pic of the interior...
He also probably doesnt need to spend that much at all!
Either of these would probably more than suffice, IF thats even the problem. Newegg.com - FSP Group ATX300-PA ATX 12V (v2.2) 300W Power Supply 110 - 127/220 - 240V UL, CSA, TUV, NEMKO, CB & FCC - Power Supplies Newegg.com - Antec earthwatts EA380 380W ATX12V v2.0 Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, FCC, TUV, CE, CB, C-tick, CCC - Power Supplies
The monitor could have gone bad or anything...
No-one did ANY troubleshooting here first... |

Thanks for the interjection JPMiller but I'm being truthfully honest when I say that I don't know how to go about getting the PSU or basic specs that is needed to give you a better clue as to what's going on with my computer. And can tell you that my monitors do work though. Please consider me computer illiterate and tell me how to perform this task and I'll get it and feed it to you. |

Open up your computer and type off what it says on the sticker that should be on your power supply (usually at the top/rear of your case). You should see a manufactuer name there among other useful bits of information such as the output wattage.

And shucky covered how to check the specs on the power supply
