I recently built a new PC. My problem is that the PC powers on for a few seconds, powers off, then powers on for good. It fails to post, the monitor is simply black. I forgot to put in the standoffs initially, could this have fried my MOBO, I have a P5QL-PRO mobo. I have tried many setups to get it to start including simply having only the processor, vid card and a stick of ram. I get the same results every test, any ideas? Some tell me failing to put the stand offs would have fried the MOBO, some say the mobo should be fine since it only ran for about 10-15 secs each bootup and I only tested it about 6 or so times. Right now my only guess is the MOBO, processor, vid card(though doubtful) or PSU is done. Any ideas or answers would be great.
