What is the max HD I can use with this, I just cloned a TB drive and the system will not boot it, it freezes up..
I know it's probably time to update

It shouldn't have a problem with a 1TB drive.
Keep in mind that you can't clone a drive from one PC and use it another without problems.

The quickest way to see if the motherboard can see all 1TB is to switch the drives, boot from the old one and see if the new drive is properly detected. |

Well is I wait until windows loads then plug it in it detects it, if I plug it in and reboot windows will not load, I even tried to boot from the windows disc and it's a no go, all I can assume is the Bios in this board does not support that large of a drive. |

You don't understand. Put the original 80GB drive back in as master alone and boot up to test Windows. When you're sure that it works, add the new drive as a slave and boot up. Examine the new drive to see if the entire 960GB shows up. |

It boots fine with the 80 gig by it's self, it just will not boot with the new drive no matter how it is set, once windows loads I can plug it in it shows up fine, I ran a scan of the drive no errors show up and it say's it is health, I reboot and the computer stops loading on the screen where it shows the drives, I tried with just the 1tb drive by it self and it stops at the drive screen, I have tried booting using the cd room and a xp pro disc and it stops at the hd screen.
I have 4 hds 2 sata and 2 ide hd they all work fine.
The drive is a segate barracuda 1tb 32 mb buffer 7200rpm sata drive, I have never had any issues with loading a hd before.
I guess I need try this drive in another system to see what happens. |

Update the motherboard BIOS.
Keep in mind that this motherboard may not be compatible with 3.0Gb SATA drives. You may have to set the drive to SATA II mode.
