All games crash. 8800gtx prob?

hi there.
I crash in almost all games.
Things like, civ 4 I dont.
NFS: prostreet, Hellgate: London, you name it. Stuff like that makes me crash. Everything on my monitor goes twisted, and so does sound. Then I can get to my desktop, where I can discover that the rest of my PC is twisted graphically and soundwise.

I run with a 8800 gtx 768 mb card.

I just formatted the PC, it didnt solve the issue.
Before format, my directx and graphiccard was the newest drivers.

And... this problem is a recent one. I normally didnt have it.
When I first got the PC (its build from factory, not by me), it ran with vista, and vista and the graphics card wouldnt work together, all games crashed as if the card was overheating or something.
But I swapped to XP and its been running fine for a year or so... until now.
Please help?

My dxdiag:

It could be a heat or a power issue.
What is your power supply?

Yeah it could.
But why all of a sudden?

I have a 500w thing that followed the PC.
I doubt its that, since it ran it fine for the last years time.
But who knows?

I think that your graphics card isn't getting cooled well enough,so when it goes into graphically intensive programs it overheats causing it to do that.
Check your temperature with this techPowerUp! :: Download TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.2.7 and post here what your idle graphics card temp is.

I do believe that could be a problem if its idle, when playing a game that could go up 20 degrees or so leaving it at 90 degrees that may be more or less depending.I know that my 8600gt is at 70 degrees playing crysis,Im not sure the temperature restrictions on the 8800gtx though

Actually I think the 8800gtx is at a critical mark when it reaches 90,but I'll double check
Edit:make sure you have the latest drivers(these are x86) GeForce Release 175

Before formatting today, I ran with the latest graphics driver.
Prostreet just crashed while the card was at 81.
