| memory upgrade problem
I have a Dell Inspiron 8600. I installed 2 memory sticks ( 1 gig each). When I install the first stick eveything works fine. When I install the 2nd gig in the "B" slot. the computer works for about a minute then it does a memory dump. Right now i'm using only the one gig. I've tried using other manufacturers memory and it still does a dump. Help !!! |

the same thing, another dump. Someone told me that I might be able to change BIOS. Thought that might be dangerous. |

Depends on how much the repair costs...It's attached to the mobo and the problem could be there. |
