Can't save movie

Please,
I spent 3 days putting together a 1hr36 min movie and cannot get it to save. All files for project are available, plenty of space for storage etc. This movie has 58 clips, many transitions, imported sounds (wav) and music (mp3)

I could play it in Movie Maker but not save the actual movie.

Now if project is loaded a click on anything closes the program.

Wanted to re-install Movie Maker but couldn't find download for just WMM.
Any help?
Thanks,
Jeff Terwilliger

I'd like to know a work around for this too, as Movie Maker crashes for me too... but usually with movies reaching the 10 minute mark, consisting of half a dozen or so clips & what not...

plenty of RAM, drive space, CPU power etc... my last one I made last week, was 7 minutes long & couldn't add anymore images at end after credits even one more transition or video effect would crash it, luckily I started getting in habit of saving the projects every few clips, so incase it crashes I have something still there next time I load it.

I could use my copy of Adobe Premiere I have, but I like Movie Maker for quick little projects...

and Nero 6's one app for making movies, works, but I've had troubles with outputing the videos in past sometimes...

If you're using Windows XP make sure that you download and install Windows Movie Maker 2 as it fixed a lot of bugs that came with the one packaged with XP.

for me, I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, & it comes with Version 2.1.xxxxx something or other, as far as I know (although that could of been updated with one of the numerous updates I've downloaded in the last year & half), but for me, as far as I know I'm running version 2...
