| Is there a fix or patch when playing movies using bink
Has anybody seen a patch or a fix to fix the choppy movies during playing games that uses bink files(*.bik)

humm never had bink media files do that before.. u have the latest video drivers I take is?
bink has always been a good name for small compression.. high quality media.. only thing I can think would be a porblem was stated above.. though it could verywell be your version of windows.. if u r running win2k pro.. have u installed service pak 2.. or fro that matter.. is what ever version of windows u r running up to date?

I'm running on Windows XP Pro 5.1, Build 2600 if that is what you are referring to. And yes, I have an up to date drivers of all my devices. | |

Which game/games is this happening on? U might wanna see if there is a patch for the game itself? What are your system specs? Maybe a full install of the game might help (so movies are loaded from harddisk rather than off the CD)...

I know this is not really the sort of thing you are looking for but on this site there are utils to play bink files, among other video game formats. Might help you work out if it is the game or something on your machine.

To Jayman: Games like C&C Renagade, Morrowind, Alone in the Dark 4, Jedi Knight 2, Spiderman the movie etc, mostly games that uses bink video. I have already downloaded the latest patch for these and nothing seems to have changed. Some games have specific installs some hasnt. These are my PC specs:
AMD K63 400Mhz
52X CDU5221 Sony CD ROM Drive
192MB RAM
Via MVP3 MoBo
Soundblaster Live!
Nvidia Geforce 2 400mx 64MB
Win XP Pro
To griobhta: Ill check out the site later on.

I went to the site you've request. There are alot of movie players to veiw the movies manually from the CD but that isnt what Im looking for. Im looking for fix for choppy movies during the game that uses bink video files. I already also have the bink program, it only plays the movie outside the game not during the game. Anyway thanks for your help. If you happen to know more about my prob. just post me a message. | |

Im referring to the Official Spiderman the Movie Game. Its already out. The fmv cutscenes of the game is choppy. | |
