| No icons or startmenu showing!
When I start my computer, only the desktop and mouse points shows. The only thing I can do is CTRL+ALT+DELETE (that is the only way I could post this message). I installed a theme the other day, it may be that, but I can't change it because I can't rightclick. I tried safe mode, but it's the same thing here. Anyone can help? |

| Do you then start Explorer.exe and your desktop shows up? |

It sounds like a virus. Where did you get this "theme"? |

All of the previous themes I downloaded from there was working.
It was this one: XP Themes - Vista Ultimate by vher528 - Customize.org
If you unpack it, you'll see the folder "LSPatch"
I tought it was a patch needed for the theme. Installed, restarted the computer, and now were here. |

I would just go into safe and remove the theme, as they are directly related it seems. I can't think of where it is set off the top of my head but there is a registry key that sets your theme, could also use that to force the default xp theme

Anyways, I removed the theme by using a uploader to find the file and delete it. I have changed theme but it's still not working.
I would really like this fixed. |

Sorry, I meant to do this in safe mode (just to keep anything out that shouldn't be running). You can ctrl alt del so do that, go to new task (run) and type in control and hit enter, should bring up the control panel (I'm assuming since you said that you posted this way you can still open programs with the run cmd). If the theme(s) have a download manager, you might have to get rid of that too, not just the single theme itself.
Sorry should have been more clear.
I'll try to track down that registry location too |
