No Signal on Monitor after installing ATI HD 4850 Video Card

Hi,

I usually figure that my problems have always happened before, and I cannot seem to find anything regarding my issue anywhere else.

I just finished building my new computer:

CPU: Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition (AM2+)
M/B: AMD A-N78HD
Video: PCIE Sapphire ATI HD4850 512MB GDDR3
Ram: XMS2 DDR2 2gb x2 (4GBs of Ram)
HD: W. Digital 500GB Sata 2 7200rpm
Power: 650W

After finishing setting up everything (sans video card HD 4850) I booted up the computer, and checked the Bios, all is beautiful, and followed through to install Windows Vista Ultimate.

Perfecto so far, then I continued to install all the drivers for the M/B, DVDRW, Lynksis Wi-fi, and the drivers Catalyst for the video card.

I then rebooted the system all was fine. So i shut it off and installed the Sapphire HD 4850 no problem into its coresponding slot.

Now no matter how I boot the computer i get "No Signal" on my monitor, and when I disconect the Cable I get "No Connection".

I have read countless other posts regarding going into the BIOS and changing everything, deleting drivers etc. But as I get "No Signal" on any monitor or LCD Tv, there is really nothing I can do.

I have tried removing the card and connecting directly from the motherboard, and i get the same thing, ive taken everything back apart and put it back in, and nothing.

What can I do to fix the Issue?

Thanks in advance to all of you...

As an update,

I have taken the whole thing apart, started from scratch again.

Same thing.

Also attempted the M/B reset removing the lithium battery waiting for a while and putting it back in, and did nothing as well...any ideas at all?

I've always installed the video card first before installing the drivers. The card will run under the default windows driver, then you at least know it's working.
Can you get into the BIOS screen? from there, you could tell it to use onboard video.

I get no signal whatsoever, thus I cannot see the BIOS screen.

Most "fixes" involve at least being able to see it.

Ive reset and everything already. So i am not sure what else the issue could be since it was working just fine at first.

I hav just installed HD 4850 - Same Problem

Hi,

Have just installed a PowerColor HD 4850 512MB and got the same no signal on boot. I have seen a similar problem on an ATI forum but no solution was posted. Did you solve your issue?

Did you hook up any necessary power connecters to the card? It sounds like a classic power issue.

Hi, thanks for the hint,
its power status it was the first thing I checked, the card is fully powered, my old 8800GTX works fine. I have a 650W Antec Neopower power supply. I have also checked the latest BIOS for relevant updates. There do not seem by any relevant updates but I haven't updated the BIOS.

do you have the speaker hooked up and if so, on boot is there a series of beeps, one beep, or nothing at all?

edit;
"I have tried removing the card and connecting directly from the motherboard, and i get the same thing, ive taken everything back apart and put it back in, and nothing."

So let me get this straight, you installed Vista and everything was fine. Then with the 4850 you get no signal, AND when trying from the onboard video you get no signal either?
