event 11 error with cdrom windows 2000
Im having a problem with my CD-Burner in Windows 2000
I have the new Plextor 40A... burner and have DMA enabled but I can only burn 1 CD sometimes then i have to reboot. Because the drive wont recognize the CD the next time.
then i check my system log and its filled with ERROR messges that say...

Description The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0
Comments Adrian Grigorof: As per Microsoft: "ATA66 DMA transfer mode is not supported for the onboard IDE controller." See the link below.
One user solved this by disabling DMA in the BIOS and disabling the Write Cache in Windows 2000.
