IE 8 won't reliquinsh history

Hi, I am using internet explorer 8 to browse with Vista premium. I use the "delete browsing history" feature every time I exit, with all options selected except "keep favorite website data". The days to keep browsing history is set to 0. And none of the other settings are set to keep information. However, with the search service on the top right side, any kind of entry brings up search suggestions... as well as history of searched terms going back quite a while. I have tried manually deleting them from the pulldown, and they disappear from the screen, but when I re-enter the same letter, they pop up again in history. Changing the provider still brings up the same history. I realize that I could just not use it, but I really prefer to keep it for convenience. As far as I can see, there is no seperate option to delete the search history. None of the autocomplete is turned on either. I also do not have a google account (which some have suggested would be why it's keeping it) Is there another file where this information could be kept? Any advice would be much appreciated.

ps: no virus, spyware or adware.

Um, to be blunt, its a glitch. No fix from M$ yet. internetexplorer beta IE 8 history doesn't get deleted properly

I think, if you really, really prefer IE, you should go back to a NON-beta version of IE.

If your willing, I suggest you use Firefox.
