DVD RW drive

rMy DVD RW drive is broken A CD broke into pieces inside. Now my computer says it needs a USB cable installed and I can't use to cd player the drawer opens constantly. Can I buy an external DVD RW drive What exactly does this do?

PCs don't ever say that a USB cable needs to be installed. That is not the exact message, is it?

You should replace the drive with a similar type. It's easy.

Since a CD broke inside of the drive, I somewhat doubt the drive will still function.
I would advise that you replace the drive.

you can get an external but internal is usually cheaper and overall better
