Changed from domain to workgroup, now can't login as admin to change back to a domain

anyone know how to log back into the domain AFTER I changed my win2k machine from domain to workgroup. I don't have my "computer" to login as an administrator????

You can't login as the local admin??
If you can't login as the local admin of the machine... you'll have to find the password for it to be able to re-join the domain!

I've had this problem twice. The ONLY way to get out of this is to either have a local administrator account on your laptop or to have somebody else have a local administrator account on your laptop.

If you don't have that, I guess you could try a repair installation of 2K, but I don't really think that would work. If it doesn't, reformatting is your only option.
