I have two computers both Win XP. One of them connects directly into my Linksys Wireless G router and the other one connects wireless. I went to connect to the Internet and from the one that connects wireless and no luck . So I went and tested the other one(connected one) no luck also.
I know it has nothing to do with my provider b\c I can take the router out and everything works fine on the one computer. Internet light on the router is on and it looks like it is connected, but fails. On my wireless computer it says it is connected and gives a decent signal strength, but no luck.
Could the WAN port have gone bad on the router? Are there any tests I can run to see if the router is bad short of going and buying a new one?
Possibly router configuration issue. Might do a hard reset of the router.
Then in this order: Disconnect power from both modem and router. Repower modem wait for connection. Repower rounter. Reconfigure router using the wizard interface provided.
