Try resetting the BIOS. Look for a little round battery on the motherboard and take it out. Wait for a few seconds and put it back in. |

Darik's Boot & Nuke can wipe any drive (free download, I get all my free tools from MajorGeeks.com - Download Freeware and Shareware Computer Utilities. ) or you can use the diagnostics that you can get (download) from most drive makers to "zero fill" their drive(s). DB&N used to be included with Eraser (a file and folder wiper) but I'm not sure it is any more but all computer users should have both in their toolkits. I know for sure that some Hitachi disk tools are also available thru MG as well as the factory site. I haven't seen any other brand's tools there but I just may not have been paying attention as all my current drives are Hitachi.

Recheck all cables, wires, memory, etc. You may have knocked something loose or connected a cable or wire in the wrong location.
