I have a compaq that boots up , the fans goes on and you hear it running but the montoir light goes from green to amber. The keyboard and mouse will not work either.


I tried reseating memory and video cards..nothing same thing.
Could this be a bad mother board Pc was just 1 year in August any help would be greeat

What's the history behind the issue?
Were any changes made to it prior to it breaking?
Did it work one day and not the next day?

I suspect a RAM module has gone bad. Do you hear any beeping from the computer?

No beeping ...How would I fox the ram Module?

If you have two RAM sticks, remove one and boot the computer. If it doesn't boot, pull that one and put the other one in. You are looking to see if one of them is bad.

That didnt work reseating the ram I took one out and tried then I tried the other one nothing, Do you think it's a mother biard issue?
