Computer Starts up BUT will turn on?
Hellooo, My computer is the Hp Pavilion 532n.. YEah I know it is pretty old.
My problem is that I manage to turn the computer on and the fans will start running, Heatsink fan and Back fan. However, the fans will stop in about 2-3 seconds and the computer never manage to turn on. There is nothing on the display at all. However, The front power LED is on. This probably mean the computer has power but nothing is running.
I have tried giving everything a good clean
(maybe the fans were too dusty? ). I also make sure everything is plugged in correctly, I am not really sure what the problem is. I am guessing a faulty PSU.
Motherboard = AM35
OS = Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Here is the video of my turning on the computer.

Sorry the sound sort of low, turn up the volume abit so you can hear the fan running and then stopping.

Check the motherboard for bad caps:
Badcaps.net - Badcaps Home
If they look good, assume that the power supply is bad. Keep in mind that when a power supply dies, it often fries the motherboard too.
It may be time to cut your losses and move on considering this thing's age...MCSE, MCP and nut job
