I have an older computer that is very very slow. I'm running XP and until recently it wasn't too bad. I tried a system restore to a previous date but that didn't help. I think I have a memory issue, but I'm not sure. I checked the performance and a couple of programs (Mcafee antivirus and pc sypware doctor) are having an enormous number of memory page faults. Another possibility is that there is a problem with video memory because sometimes I get dozens of echoed screens when I move a window, as if the screen refresh can't keep up. I don't want to buy more memory and find it's the wrong solution, so if you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.
