    multiple windows xp on same hardrive patitioned

    i have my hardrive patitioned into a C and D drive and windows xp is installed on both but i cannot get my D drive's to boot, i have gone into the recovery console and used bootcfg / scan and it only see's the C drive despite me logging into the D drive from the recovery console. I am using an installation disc's recovery console to do this plz help me.

    Show us your BOOT.INI file contents please.

    Why do you have two XPs? Is the second one for gaming or something? If so, you can always reinstall there. You can access the data from the C drive's Windows too.

    One thing I can tell you is that you should NEVER run a registry scanner/fixer on a PC with two Windows OSes aboard. The scanner can't tell the difference and may really mess things up.
