Need help removing my front usb port (step by step)

I have a Dell Dimension 5100 but my computer wouldnt turn on one day. I noticed that the power button blinked amber for a second. I started checking around the computer and noticed the front usb ports all jumbled and broken. After checking around I noticed a lot of the same problems. I was wondering how I could go about removing / disabling the front usb port.

If yer OK with goin into the box, you can dis-connect the USB cable where it connects @ the board...

Or if you didn't wanna open the case up, you should be able to disable through Device Manager.

to disable the front usb ports you will need to go into the device manager and somewhere near the bottom it will list usb controllers, you need to determine which ones are the front ones by disabling 1 at a time and testing each usb port at the same time to find out which one you have disabled and once you have disabled a front one leave it disabled and find the next one
