Parental Controls gone haywire.

i'm 15 years old and i have parental control blocks for the 16 thing on aol. up until about a week ago i had no problems with them. then, i tried to get on www.myyearbook.com one day, which was already unblocked, i stopped counting when i went through the 15th control block to load my homepage. since then, i have tried to get on www.gaggle.net, which never had a parental control block, and stopped trying after the 7th one. any help at all would be appreciated, i am not allowed to get the block bumped up to 18 to see if it would help. if you can help me, please do...i'm desperate!!!!

Hi, and WELCOME TO TECHIMO...!

Sorry, but I haven't had too much of a play with the "parental controls" feature, so I can't be of too much help to you on this.

Having said that, if something was working before and isn't now, then it is normally due to something being changed. Could it be that your parents (or whoever maintains the parental controls on the computer) has changed the setting/s for the sites - or perhaps there has been an update which has tightened up the permitted sites....

Hopefully there are some of the others on here who have used this feature who can help you. It might also be a good idea if you could take some screenies of the error message/s you're getting, as this could help us to look into it.

However, bear in mind that we are (normally) unlikely to help you in bypassing a feature like that if it is being properly maintained....
