Windows 7 BSOD new sound card

Hey guys, I got the Beta of Windows 7. I do have a question about a windows BSOD. When I try to use my Creative Audigy in my PC, windows bluescreens about a minute after it boots up. However, when the Audigy is not plugged in, there is no issue.
My question is, is this an incurable problem? The BSOD is of the parameter error variety, I couldn't write down the exact STOP error.
The specs are: Athlon XP 2600+, 2 GB of RAM, Epox 8RDA3+, 400 watt PSU.
Windows 7 also won't have sound through the integrated sound either, even though the drivers are installed correctly. Any clues to that? The speakers are working in a different computer, BTW.

As with any beta software, don't expect all drivers or software to work flawlessly. You can probably write down the STOP error from Windows Event Viewer (in the Administrator Tools section of the Control Panel). With the exact STOP error type and fault address, we can probably help better. I have heard of an 0x00000124 issue with early VISTA beta versions and Audigy sound cards, but Microsoft resolved that before Vista was fully released years ago... maybe they forgot to include that patch in Windows 7?

It's beta... and free... take it with a grain of salt.

Ha, ya, good luck with that. Creative just flat out sucks, unless you have a need for it (like I do for the optical input), I'd keep it out and maybe try to sell it on ebay.

It took Creative how many months to get even half decent drivers for Vista after it was released (I think it was over a year). I doubt they'll even make any for Win7.

I will try removing the drivers and reinstalling them, that may help.

I went to uninstall the Creative software, however, there is no uninstaller, nor does the Creative software appear in the Add/Remove Programs. What is with that? Is there a way to uninstall the installed Creative software? Use the software disc?

Try going through the Device Manager in "Safe Mode". If it's the same as XP, that's what I'd do.

The Stop error is 0x00000131 (0x00000001, 0x00000009, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).
I will try to uninstall the software via the CD.

Found this in another forum... check out the discussion. Sounds like your issue, and it pertains to Windows 7.

There's a solution included in that discussion, too.
