This problem has been somewhat solved, however all data is now not accessable or gone. It appears that both drive associated with the Silicon Image controller-BIOS somehow lost their partition or where erased when the computer locked-up. They were in the Disk Management consol listed as Basic unpartitioned unformatted drivess. I don't understand this and I'm disapointed ath the loss of data, but what can I do?

I have a EPoX Mobo with 6 Sata Connectors on the Board 2 on an Nvidia Controller and 4 on a Silicon Image SiI 3114 SataRaid Controller. The Nvidia control drives seem to work fine and are visible in My Computer but the Silicon Image controlled drives not visible anywhere once XP loads. I have tried both striped and stand alone configs with no change. The device manger says that the controler is woking properly. HELP Please

My computer has a EPoX EP-8RDA Pro Mobo, an Athlon XP 3200 CPU, 2 gigs of Memory, 3 Nvidia Controlled 400 gb Hitachi drives (2 SATA, 1 PATA),
and 2 Silicon Image Controlled 400 gb Hitachi Sata Drives all running via Window XP Pro. All of which have worked fine for several years. The system locked up last night while used by someone else. I awoke this morning to find what appeared to be a problem with the ntldr file and the computer was locked up in the midst of boot. I have since discoverded and fixed that problem, but have have yet to see evidence of the Silicon Image controlled SATA drives once windows is running. The Silicon Image SATA controller at boot, but nothing within Windows. I have delved into the Bios and see nothing unusual, but I may be missing something. Anyone, Please Help!

Try reinstalling the SiI 3114 driver, they may have got corrupted some how, also check the drive connector plugs..

Thanks Dusty, I've already tried both suggestions, but not change
