Ram not fully recognized
My toshiba M40x laptop has 256mb built in memory. I added an additional 512mb ram. Now my total says 760. When I replaced the 512 with a 1gb my total still reads only 760mb. Can anyone tell me why? My computer specs say i can add 1gb for a total of 1250mb.

You should get 1280 minus 64 for shared video ram.
