I recently built a computer but then I have ran into some troubles. So far the computer turns on and the bios runs and everything. The problem lies in installing windows vista or xp. I bought a windows vista home premium UPGRADE by accident and my first question is can I install a clean version of Vista Home Prem as it is an upgrade. The next problem is that when I'm installing Win Vista and XP, the installation either freezes or it just stops going. Is that at the cause of the Optical Drive? Once i got Win XP to install fully and it was running. But then I installed the drivers but then it couldn't connect to the internet. Would that be the Motherboard's Problem? Thanks for the replies and if needed, I'll post specs of whats in the computer once I get home. Thanks all.
On the side note, would someone like to direct me to how to flash my bios [if that may be the case]
