Code Purple

Reading some of these discussions, there were NO answers..
I have a pavilion a350n. One day it is working great the next i get an error message.
First one said i didn't have enough memory. So i shut it down and restarted it. I hit f10 and did a system recovery, thats when the error message of code purple appeared. HP tech said that he probably was my mother board.
I need to get back on that computer to recover information on it. there has to be a way.
I don't even know how to get it in safe mode.
any suggestions?

Joann

Use boot disk or cd
Start Windows
Find that directory C:\hp\bin\configcheck\
Open "run.py" in notepad.
Once the file opens clear the contents and select save as then save the file as run.p_
Close the notepad program
Delete the original file "run.py"
Reboot system

(Thanks to Mr. Weaver.)

That fixes it.

See his earlier post if you have no access to another computer.

This worked for me no more code purple
